Giving is a necessary part of the Christian life.  When you give, God's promise is to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings until you no longer have room to receive them (Malachi 3:10).  That does not always mean a financial return but, God can provide things far greater than money like peace, joy, righteousness, and eternal life if you are willing to lay hold on them.
